so this is it... my last day in HK... god knows how long ive been waiting for it.. still remember last summer when i foudn out i had to stay here.. omg.. i cried for 2 hours straight.. and was still all soo emotional whenever i thought about it.

while if i was given the choice to stay or not and id def. choose not to stay, im still glad i did.. what made nigeria so "special" was that (most of) my best friends were there.. it was my LAST year too... and i couldnt wait to graduate with them... and it sucked that i couldnt say bye to any of them, even tho a few of them did come to the airport that day.

it took me quite a long time to adapt... well a few months time.. its hard to just *click* with people of a different culture jus like that... i mean i got stared at last summer.. and i find that this summer, i still get stared at, but it doesnt bother me as much no more..

anyways... no matter what, like i told steven, i am glad that i got to spend a year in HOng Kong.. well maybe NOT my senior year.. but it's alright... there were definitely CONS during this one year period... but the PROS outweighted the CONS by farr...

reasons:

1) most important would prolly be the fact that this is the first time that my family has NOT been separated into so many countries in MANY years... it was great to live with my brother again. we've both grown older and get along much better than we used to, which is always a plus cuz he buys me stuff =) haha..

2) i got new friends that i knw i can trust.. i find myself lucky being able to have friends like that.. and i guess thats why going into Phoenix, instead of any other schools, was a good idea... (even tho NO ONE has heard of phoenix. lol)

3) its' been a good experience... living the chinese lifestyle.. no need to watch cassettes no more.. and having up-to-date movies (even tho nigeria has an AWESOME movie theater.. but it costs too much!) ... and SHOPPING.. haha omg.. its def been a good experience... and hey, how many ppl can say they've been to HK? (westerners! not asians!)

anyways... highlights of this whole one year | two months | two days:

*camping trip in Tai O - omg, i dun think ill ever go down a 4 storey building with a rope ever again! and the dragonboat racing thingie was cool! =)

*book fair meeting that guy! - haha.. my first step towards meeting random ppl in HK! =P

*going into phoenix - still remember being shocked on the first day...*sigh*

*sai kung hiking trip - haha.. very fun.. very tiring.. and LOTS of pictures!

*shirley's wedding - omg, she's so pretty! and mini nigeria reunion thing going on =P

*irei's 18th - first time drinkin in HK! and ended up tipsy and influencing erica~ =P

*karen's wedding - haha.. 2nd wedding.. pretty pink dress and pink scarf =)

*yvonne's visit to HK - first time clubbing in HK.. first was @ Lux and then @ Ing (when they never checked ID).. lotsa food going on too! =) and first time bowling in AGES!

*pui o trip - hahahahahahahahahaha.. KENNETH!! good trip good trip! =) 1 Bottle of Skye + another bottle from 7-11.. Steven was hilarious! i love u guys! and erica was crazier than me.. "eat bread!"

*club ing on june 2nd - omg omg omg. we got carded at bulldogs n apparently ms mark n ms chima saw us. and then we went to a very pathetic bar... and then we hit Ing.. VERY good nite there.. i love the pictures! =) *wink wink* i still have a reminder from that nite on my arm! =P but its all good! and it was the first time we barfed. LOL =P

*prom 2oo5 - haha.. we actually pulled it off.. it was all good.. i loved the slideshow.. =) thanks, irei! =)
*prom after party - boo* got BOUNCED for the first time ever. how dumb! stupid EDGE.. bumped into some ppl too. .haha =) worst clubbing nite ever tho! haha =P

*clubbing - im jus basically gonna group this into one.. 10 weeks of clubbing (including after party)... 13 nites of going out and getting tipsy.. lol.. ohh myy... still remember clubbing on ladies nite and going back to work the next day.. haha.. good times good times... met alotta new people... at ing and at nu.. going into the boys room.. haha.. lotsa drunk pics.. lots and lots of lying to our parents. going home at sunrise. ing, edge, nu, redrock, illy, fong, dip..

*sai kung beach weekend - it was two nites of partying + two days of beach for me. omg so tiring. will never forget that weekend... blah* so embarrassing too.. with THREE huge BRUISES.. ohh myy... sorry kenneth, kaicho, and everyone else who i shouted at.. lol.. but thanks, too =)

*day trips before erica left - omg, we went out so much! so so so so so much.. but it was all good... great fun.. beats staying at home all day.. hehe =) and the shopping and hte food! the skirts and tops from mango.. haha.. =)

*working at YALC - met trisha, sarah, and sara.. omg, it was such good fun working with them... and the children.. they were lovely. i think im in love with calvin! he's soo adorable! XD soo bright also =) and sarah was sooooooo sweet.. omg the plane packet! i will definitely put it to good use! =D

*cheungchau trip - we actually went drinking in there.. but hte place was scary... but yea... drinking is soo cheap! we shud go have a vacay there next summer.. =)

there are many more.. but i can only think of these...*

and now its time foh the shoutouts...

erica - babe, i dont think anyone here in hk is as crazie as u.. and when me and u are together, we're unstoppable..!!! its craziee... =D but u kno they all love us =) hehe.. anyways... one of the best things about comin to HK and Phoenix was meetin you.. without u, nicole, steven and nohman, iono how i'd have survived here!! u kno what i mean!! anyways.. this summer we had a blast but it was cut short.. but dont worry.. next summer... HK BETTA BEWARE! =D we'll be paintin the town red in no time.. dont forget ur coming in Dec!! lub always =D

nicole - hiiiiiii nickieeeee! =D iono what to say.. ur smart and slow at the same time! but having u around is such a blast! even if u dont get what we're talking about at times! =P but yea... when i think of u, ill remember our PAs during econ class!! =P and napping! lol.. omg* and the food* haha.. poor mr. meikle.. we werent good students were we.. oops =P anyways.. u take care in HKU!! and if u ever need any form of entertainment, u kno where to find me! (btw, did those guys add u on msn? =p HAHAHA) i love u babe =)

steven - hii sexaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii! mofo, ur like the brother i never had.. LMAO* haha.. i forgot to say that last nite to my bro! haha =P but yea.. im glad i was able to meet a guy like u in Phoenix.. u remind me of my friends from Nigeria... u brought me laughter and tears.. u were there to listen when i always bs-ed.. anyways, thanks for takin me clubbing =P and dont be "g bai" anymore.. hah its not like u =P take care of urself, aight? i dont wanna hear about any sprained wrists no more.. im gonna miss u soo fuckin much! *muah*

nohman - wasssa homey? hehe.. ur like the only gansta one in phoenix... haha.. still remember the first day i met u.. and law classes with john.. oh what fun.. anyways u take care of yaself in england... and thanks for comin out on frid.. and introducing me to "toby" and iono who else.. haha.. ima miss u like white chocolate, nigga! =D peace and WESTSIDE =D

hilbert - hilbert... i kno we never really got along, esp in the beginning... me being the gwai mui jai and u being the traditional chinese guy.. but im glad we got over our differences and ur always there to look after me. i promise i wont drink too much.. and i will definitely call u whenever im in trouble or whatever... thanks for ur voicemail that day, it nearly made me cry. have fun in ryerson.. ill be seeing u around aight?

andy- thanks for always taking me home! haha.. dunno what i woulda done without ya.. =)

zodia - hey mid* its been great having u as a "sis"... thanks for laughing at -- i mean helping me with -- my chinese.. young leaders was "fun".. anyways take care of urself.. dont party too much.. or rather, dont study too much.. i'll be seeing u on webcam =)

joey- drinking drinking drinking!! we gotta go again someday!! party while ur still young, babe!

eric - before u say i dont leave u anything... have fun this coming school year la... =)

irei - it was great working with you this year on the student council stuff! hehe.. the dances and all that* and thanks so much for taking us up wiht u to get our dresses made! =) hehe.. it was cool! id never been there before that time! hehe.. anyways, take care in UT and ill be seeing u around whenever i visit! =D

kenneth - omg kenneth.. i met u for only 3 days and u puked and i had to take care of u.. and that was the beginning of an amazing friendship.. hahah =) anyways, this summer has been sucha blast! im glad i met u! haha... =) im gonna miss partying with ya in HK... i mean, no more figuring out how to get in, where to sleep, what time to leave.. stuff like that. .no more til u get back to Canada!! heh* i'll see ya then... =) oh n i wont forgive u for "cheating" on me.. hehe =) cheers, bro* =)

pauline - we had so much fun teh first nite we met.. it was as if we've known each other for a very long time. four more days left... well, actually, if u really think about it, its only 3 days.. cuz im leaving on sunday morning...

but yea... i feel as if ive been so busy these two days! i've gone out after work on both days!

monday, i went to CWB to met chekwan.. gilbert and luenyan were sposed to come.. but they didnt.. and i was also sposed to meet Alan.. =) haha.. first time "chillin" wid him since YMCA.. haha... so yea.. i got those earrings i wanted! i bought a pair of heart-shaped hoops and a pair of hoops wiht stars on them... =) and then we went and took sticky pics too! =D they're cute.. im updating with teh laptop so i cant post them...

after cwb, we went to pacific place in hunghom to chill.. lol.. omg, it was soo funny =) and took some pics which i posted in the previous post...

tuesday, i fell asleep during story time twice.. lol.. and brittany caught me... oops* =P and after work i was sposed to go shopping with my mom and i had to wait for her at esprit.. in the end, i spent two hours at esprit and i bought 5xx worth of clothing (with the 20% discount)... sigh* and then family dinner.. omg.. so good.. haha

and yea.. basicaly i get home too late to use the computer for long.. and it feels weird. ha... and cuz i work in the mornigns too, i sleep by 12.. or else i get too sleepy during class hours.. hehe =)

anyways, clubbing one last time at CLUB NU on FRIDAY... everyone shud come and say BYE! haha =)

and now im gonna go and pack! haha =)

omg, i jus found out that monika is coming to HK for year 12 and 13.. haha.. she's arriving the day after i leave! haha.. and she's prolly going into SIS! can u blieve it? haha.. nicee =) i guess that means clubbing together next summer.. =) woohoo* =P

omg sucha tiring few days.

thursday:

finally bought laptop and bikini and boardshorts for me and my bro! haha =) whoopeeeeeee* heh *big grin*

im lovin the laptop.. but no internet connection cuz no wireless router. boo*

friday:

went to TST first to meet up.. haha.. all of us gotta leave home early. haha =P but omg, it was raining like crazie.. my pants, shoes, and socks were all wet* =.=!

finally got up to Nu at 12.. omg soooo many ppl that nite... saw quite a few ppl and met a few others too.. haha.. and tequila shots! woohooo*

no i didnt kiss alan. haha we pretended that we did. hah! =P but i did somehow end up kissing pauline TWICE.. lol... soo dunno how that happened!! haha.. and on the way home on teh taxi was funny! Anita and Kath! i found out what 365 was!! its a local club in jordan! haha =P still remember that guy asking me why i was so white when i told him i was from africa! i dont think he believed me. lol =P another funny site: me running across the street, tipsy, with a falling umbrella.. haha* =P

saturday:

woke up quite early adn went yum cha! haha.. havent gone in ages.. =P
and then went to IFC and watched Drink Drank Drunk.. the new Daniel Wu movie.. didnt wanna watch it at first. but had nothing else to do.. but omg, im glad i did watch it.. OMFG, DANIEL WU IS SOOOOOO OMFG HOT! haha.. he looked sooooooo good in the movie! and i jus LOVE his accent! =D the movie was so worth my $45.. haha.. i'd watch it again if any1 wants to go =P

we finally went into CheungChau.. and we barbequed and watched movies for like nearly 5 hours... haha... and then we went to this bar&restaurant.. lol.. omg, the drinks are so cheap! hah.. =) only HK$25 for one tequila shot.. and HK$45 for one B52.. so obviously, we'd order some.. hehe =) the bill came to a total of $370 (i think) for a mixture of drinks... + a lil bit of food (but i think that was only $10 -- it was one of the most delicious things ive ever ate! i miss indian food!).. but nahh.. was only a lil tipsy..not like veronica.. haha..she was reallly tipsy.. haha =) and then we continued on with Smirnoff from Circle K and went to teh beach too.. lol.. oo myy* .. didnt get back til like past 4 am. haha =)

Sunday:

it finally stopped raining.. so we went to the beach for a while.. was so tired tho.. went to eat and then came back to HK (haha.. funny hwo they consider HK island, Kowloon n NT as HK).. all this time i was in my WET bathing suit.. blah* was so cold that i walked around central (the ferry area) wiht a towel wrapped around me.. haha =P

anyways.. work tmr.. and then meeting with alan and chekwan and them.. dunno hwo that's gonna work out tho.. hehe =) and im BROKE... did i say i bought a wallet in NineWest.. it was on sale.. i needed one anyways and it was MUCH cheaper than the one i was gonna buy... oh wellz.. but its fuckin huge.. or maybei jus got too much stuff in it...

due to popular requests (*muahahha)... here is an update on a certain topic...

ha. mayn that is sadd* when i heard... it was just like wtf? haha =) im sry but it is.. i dont see what's the big deal about having sex anyways...

but yes... the only conclusion that i can get from this is that:

1) the gurl must be really desperate
2) the guy only wants the gurl for sex and nothing more.

but seriously, why would u wanna have sex with a guy thats way younger than you and isnt even properly matured yet? i mean, will the guy be able to satisfy you?

monday nite shopping with nicole was hilarious! ha* old man in heels and plucked eyebrows and makeup. oh myy* i love my disney keychain too! =) ... and all those stuffed animals in ToysRUs and Niki! omg.. i want that sticker maker and the playdough stuff... and that humongous barney. .ha! gotta meet up for dinner and sticky pics before i leave, nickie =) but damn it.. i want that swimsuit and that wallet! haha... good thing i got paid =P

im now working in the mornings too... so basically, ppl dont call me between 9:00 - 4:00.. i wont answer.. ha! i got paided the first session.. but still missin the 2nd session... need to ask them about that! but yea.. lil kids are so adorable.. =) and i got to play with playdough.. lmao* haha =)

finally, when i get off the KCR in Kowloon Tong these past two school days, i've been able to get off the train. it bugs me how the intercom says that they shud let the passengers get off first before the others board and they dont even fuckin listen. the last 4 weeks, i could barely get outta the train without getting stepped on. stupid hk ppl.

oh.. and someone disgusts me.. seriously. its like give me a break. i dun care abt freedom of speech. its not that im offended by what u wrote, but its the way u write it. have some respect for urself. its disgusting.

but seriously, ive never spent $100 on a bottle of HONEY before... but still, we shudda finished that bottle of JD!

anyways.. sucha rushed trip. got so much stuff tho* ha =P and i must admit, im loving my new haircut =P.. havent had bangs this short since i was in elementary school!! (that's like at least 7 years ago!)

i also satisfied my craving for cup noodles =D hehe* i kno u luved it, erica =P

anyways.. i feel much younger with my bangs =P

shopping tmr with Nicole.. still gotta buy an alarm clock.. those really loud ones, so that i can actually hear it ring!

this was sposed to be a happy entry with lots of pictures. but now im not so sure about the happy part.

[x] as i was groggily listening to my mom jus bs while i napped, i heard her ask my brother something. he didnt bother replying so i asked her what was giong on.

[x] as i found out what happened, i couldnt believe it. and what surprised me more was that i just started crying automatically.

[x] it made me think, when i found out my own grandmother died, i didnt even cry. i was just like "Oh. Okay.".. but here is a man that i barely knew and hardly ever saw. the tears jus wouldnt stop falling for the next 10 minutes.

[x] the man wasnt someone i knew much about. nor was i close to. and at times i thought he was funny [strange]. and i actually felt sorry for him. but no matter what, he was nice to my family.

[x] i remember once after my dad went to visit him, he came back and was telling me how he kept bugging my dad about my education. how he kept saying that i shud go to the States and all that. and how my dad said he was soo annoying.. but you kno what, its the fact that he cares that matters.

[x] as i type this, the tears cant stop falling. while i dont feel as hurt and sad as when Baby died, i cant stop these tears from falling. they just fall on their own.

[x] i can only feel sorry and regret that i never took the time to go and visit him. even my dad regrets not going often. and now its too late. all i can wish for is that he rests in peace.

i just spent the past two nights clubbing my ass off.. omg* soo tired. i literally lack sleep. but i'm doing my best to catch up. =)

friday nite we went to lankwaifong. it was me . kenneth . kath . elaine. we went to redrock for the first hour.. and then we went to Nu and bumped into Yvonne and the two Kevins. omg, the tall one was soo funny! =D but then turns out that Nu wasnt open til 12. so we went back to redrock to chill. so at 12 we went back to Nu at 12 without yvonne and the two kevins cuz they went to the gay bar. ha!

Nu was alright. my brother came to join us - thank god! (u'll know why later!) i bumped into Carol, Kai Cho, and Andy. ha! what a small world. hehe. it was open bar, so we kept the drinks going. ppl kept on telling me that i wasnt gonna get drunk that nite. and i didnt. [....] i went to the bathroom a few times and ended up talking to the gurls inside for some reason. ha. and then, accidentally, elaine got reallly drunk. due to some incidents, my brother and kenneth went to the guys room. and since they took so long, i went in to check on them... and i ended up staying there for a while to chat with them and this other guy [matt]. =p ppl were wondering how come there's a gurl in the boys' room! ha! and then this gurl looking for matt [jody] saw us and i invited her in to join us. ha! so the boys' room became a unisex room. ha =p mah bad =p

but yea in the end, we got out of Nu at 2:30 i think. but by the time we took elaine home and we got home, it was 4 already. sigh*

i spent saturday evening with my church friends. =) well i went to church to watch the cambodia thingie. and then after practicing that song, we went out and ate.. and chilled.. stupid sticker picture machine! argh* it woulda been nice to get them! ha* but oh wellz.. around 10 i met up with carol and we went to wanchai.

went to club ing. couldnt get in at first cuz he wouldnt lemme in without proper ID... so then waited for everyone to get there.. and borrowed Pauline's ID =p Thanks, babe! =P and after that, it was all history! haha =]

omg, this is prolly the first time that i went clubbing this summer without any regrets the next morning. ha! good for me, eh? =P im stil quite shocked over the CHINESE [im sorry but i gotta emphasize on this] guy that was OVER one head taller than me! ha =D nicee =D and i sorta met "william" at the bar. lol. i dont remember what he looks like anymore tho. nor will i even remember him when i see him again. ha =P stupid kenneth, i wasnt Kau gun Jai! haha! lol, and the guy understood Chinese too and laughed at that. haha. some other funny shit happened too, but cant mention. if u wanna know, ask =p

but yea.. omg, Tecquila Shots! i miss those! =D i had FOUR and i was ok! lol.. but then we were all sweating like a dumbass! haha but last nite was goood!! reaaaaaaaaaaal good! ha =D

i dont know why, but after skimming thru some ppl's xangas, i got this song stuck in my head. and i jus spent the past like 5 minutes listening to the song on kath's xanga. [ i typed the c.o.m.m.e.n.t and i jus left it there until i realized i didnt send it. how dumb of me ]

so yesh. what has been going on lately? yesterday i was constantly reminded of why i so wanted to leave home and why i couldnt wait to leave. but then as that is over today, i wonder to myself, do i really wanna leave home so fast? i only have like 25 days left.

things pop up and scare me. make me think, will i be able to handle this on my own in september? will i be able to make all the deadlines, stay on track, do well in my courses, balance things out.. all on my own. no reminders from anyone. and it makes me think, damn, im gonna be on my own.

i guess i shud just remember:

i feel so mo loi.

typed a whole blog and then deleted it.

im enjoying life. at the same time, i have these mixed up feelings inside.

is it so much to want something?

how much does real happiness cost?

thanks for caring, everyone. but im fine. i guess im just going thru a phase.. im gonna be MOVING for the second time in one year.. so i guess im jus a lil bit iffy at the moment.

went out to the off to western thingie. it wasnt as bad as i thought. ha* thanks to irei and nicole for coming =D and yea, that steven guy was pretty cool =] he's funny =] .. dinner at Spaghetti House was good =P
